THE MOST UNIQUE PLACES OF CHERNOBYL

Chernobyl area was decided into two administrative territories: the specialized 10 kilometer zone and the 30 kilometer zone. The first legal tour to the Chernobyl exclusion zone was organized by SoloEast travel in 1999.

👉AMUSEMENT PARK
This amusement park has become an iconic place for tourists. Unfortunately the inhabitants of Pripyat didn’t get a chance to enjoy it. It was to be opened for the first time on May first 1986, after Chernobyl accident occurred.

👉 AZURE SWIMMING POOL
This swimming pool is located very deep in the woods and it is hard to find a way to this swimming pool without a tour guide as the street has turned into an impenetrable jungle. It is hard to believe but this swimming that was built in the late 70th was well equipped for a town with a population of 50 thousand. It was operated for 12 years after disaster.

👉The DUGA – 3, OVER THE HORIZON RADAR STATION.
Located deep in the woods radio location station can be seen from any point in the exclusion zone. Metal structure is 150 meters high and 460 meters long, inspite of that the facility was not marked on a single map and was believed to be the most top-secret place both in Chernobyl and the whole Soviet Union.
